Is OurWorld Chat free?
Yes. It is free to use. You can join as a guest or register for free.
Do I need to register?
No. You can join as a guest with just a nickname. Registering gives you a permanent nickname, a profile picture, a friends list and extra features such as sending pictures.
Who can use OurWorld Chat?
Adults aged 18 and over only. Anyone found to be under 18 may be removed.
What can I do here?
Chat live in public rooms, send private messages, add friends, share emojis, GIFs, pictures and voice notes, and make voice or video calls.
Which rooms are there?
There is a General room for everyone and a Tamil room for Tamil speakers. More rooms are added over time.
Is sexual content allowed?
No. Sexual content, harassment, hate speech and spam are not allowed. Moderators can mute, kick or ban people who break the rules.
How do I report someone?
Tap the flag next to a message, in a public room or a private chat, and choose a reason. Moderators will review it.
How long are my messages kept?
Private messages are deleted automatically after a limited number of days. Pictures sent in chat are removed after 2 days. See the Privacy Policy for details.
Is my information safe?
Passwords are stored securely and cannot be read by anyone. We record IP addresses and a device ID to stop abuse. Read our Privacy Policy for the full details.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes. It works in any phone browser, and you can add it to your home screen from the browser menu.
How do I delete my account?
Email ourworldchat30@gmail.com from the address you used, and we will remove your account and its data.
